So appropriate he was drawn to Mallarme. Having read many translations of the Iliad I never felt the rawness and reduction, that Twombly’s paintings ultimately conveyed, could be found in Pope’s translation. I always felt something more lyrical in that text.

I am glad I am lucky enough to love Cy Twomblys work. Anyone who thinks this could easily be done try it.. Its magic and the composition and his line comes together like poetry. Some things cant be explained hence the reason people dont get him. Lucky we are all different. As it would be a boring world if we all liked the same thing

I like Berhe Morisot's work. She did bear witness to the birth of Impressionism. Her mom had Tuesday night dinner parties. In the midst of the talk of local politics and the weather, she was getting updates of the happiness of the art scene and the Impressionism and the movement

Personally speaking, I don't find her hand movements distracting at all...; I feel that it's just her individual way of expressing highly 'infective' passion for the subject she has chosen to discuss. Those people who stand there still like a rock...speaking in a deadpan 'unmoving' manner...doesn't add any sense of excitement to me at all. Furthermore, when she does choose to focus on a particular painting...; at that point, we view only the painting, alone...with nil distractions...just a matter of hit 'pause'.

Mmm ~ Rather a mundane, uninspiring trailer with its quick shot over-printed ordinariness? How about reenacting a an animated scene from one of her paintings with actors dressed for the period such as 'La Coiffure', or other domestic scene painting, and then photographically morph the enactment into the actual painting ~ or would that be too expensive for a trailer?
